AOD-964 10MG is a peptide derivative of the fat burning region in the human growth hormone. This peptide is made up of 15 amino acids particularly, amino acids 177-191 of the human growth hormone (of the Carboxyl-Terminus) but with an additional tyrosine at the N-terminal end which is meant to ensure its stability. It is also referred to as Tyr-hGH Frag 176-191, AOD 9604 or hGH Fragment 177-191 and its amino acid sequence is Tyr-Leu-Arg-lle-Val-Gln-Cys-Arg-Ser-Val-Glu-Gly-Ser-Cys-Gly-Phe. Its molecular formula is C78H123N23O23S2. AOD-964 10MG has a higher potency than its predecessor-AOD-9401 in its fat burning (lipolytic) and anti-lipogenic properties. Being an analog of human growth hormone (hGH or GH), AOD-964 10MG stimulates fat breakdown (lipolysis) while inhibiting the synthesis of body fat from fatty food materials (lipogenesis) as observed in both animal studies and clinical trials.
